this month

It's finals week, and may even be my last finals week ever. Assuming I pass these two classes, I will have a B.A. in my hands (not literally) by the twentieth, which happens to be my birthday. The last two years at university have seen my Winter quarter end the exact same day of my birthday, but that didn't happen this year. Drag. I kind of thought it would be cool for them to happen simul. Anyways, I have thus not had time to write, but it's not entirely school's fault. Frankly, I don't have that many things to write about right now. My articles usually boil down to 'media review' or 'thing that pisses me off'. None of those things have come along that were particularly interesting this month. However, it was and is important to me to at least post monthly, a requirement set by the fact that Blogger.com lists posts by month. I don't want any gaps. So while I don't really have much to say right now, I thought I'd at least list a few things that are coming up that I'm excited to write about. I really, really enjoyed my Halo experiment, so I've decided to expand that formula and delve into other games I have prejudices against. Honestly, those kinds of things are the most fun thing I think I've ever done. Not the 'write a bitchy review' part, but the 'try something you thought you hated' part. So I'll be writing Halo review-style articles on Gears of War and Call of Duty 4. Both of these games will have their respective "why I hate it" entries as well as the proper reviews. Also, the time I'll have free will allow me to sample movies and such. I've recently given up on my vigil to only rent physical copies of DVDs, so I'll be watching some stuff on Amazon, and will probably be able to judge a few things in what is hopefully a comedic but thoughtful fashion. I'm not going to say something like "sorry for not posting" because it kind of implies I have a large fanbase and gives me way too much credit. This is more of a 'placeholder' to make sure I keep writing and don't quit it, because honestly it's one of the more fulfilling things I do. I also wont say "I'm on hiatus" and the inevitable "I'm back!" because once you do that once, you'll never stop. If you do enjoy this blog, just know that I haven't stopped. And if I do post something this month, I'll probably just replace this entry. Here's hoping that happens because I already don't like this post.

Also, sorry if you follow me. I will usually post after writing a few paragraphs, then just hit "back" and add and edit till I'm satisfied. I did not realize I was constantly reloading the "new post" page. From some reason Blogger does not remove pages from the feed if you delete them.
